About Activate Sport, Sports camps, Activity camps & Adventure Day Camps for 5-7 year olds.

Quality sport and activity instruction that is age-appropriate and offers sufficient choice to attract boys and girls across the entire age range of 5-14 years.

Activate Sport have grown from providing specialist football and cricket courses in 2004 to the sport, activity and adventure camps run today; offering a range of key sports, multi-sport, multi-activity and dance & drama.

Our dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated team are continually enhancing our courses and content to ensure that all children enjoy the best possible Activate Sport camp experience, regardless of age or ability level.

Our adventure camps continue to evolve and offer new and exciting activities for children to try. These include archery, climbing & abseiling, rock-it-ball and inflatable activities such as Bungee Running. Look out for more fun activities added to the curriculum this year..

Our 2010 Gold Medal Games camps will offer a great opportunity for participants to try Olympic sports and with the next games just around the corner it will give children a chance to participate in mainstream individual and team sports as well as some that are not so well known.

In 2010 many of our Sport Academies will also run as weeklong camps with the specialist coaching focus revolving purely around the chosen sport. Qualified and experienced coaches will deliver a high quality coaching experience in Football, Hockey, Tennis and Rugby. Each camp includes skill, tactical and fitness training with SAQ training also delivered on each of the academies.

All of our programmes are written and delivered by qualified professional instructors.

In addition to this we are fortunate to have professional sports people who, as well as being integral and committed members of the Activate Sport team, are involved with devising some of the key sport programmes:

Luke Sutton, a founder of Activate Sport and Lancashire County Cricket Club player, devises our cricket programme and visits all of our locations to lend a hand to the instructors when he's not on the road with Lancashire.

We are delighted to be running the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy in 2010. This summer the Academy will operate at over 40 venues across the UK with Fred or another international cricketer visiting every course to give the children a truly memorable experience.

Activate Sport are also managing the Matt Dawson Rugby Academy in 2010. Matt will be visiting every venue and key features include rehab and pre-hab session and our fuel for sport programme. The course aims to give children an true insight into the world of professional rugby .

2010 is the second year of the Lee Westwood Golf Academy; We congratulate Lee on winning the European Order of Merit and look forward to working with him this summer. Lee’s academies will be at 18 golf clubs throughout the UK with Lee or a European tour player visiting every camp. Look out for our 5-day residential course at Bloxham School.

2010 sees the launch of the International Netball Roadshow. The Roadshow operates as 1-day and 3-day courses and has one of our head coaches, Tracey Neville, Karen Atkinson and Olivia Young leading every course. Tracey, Karen and Olivia have over 250 England caps between them, representing a fantastic opportunity for netball playing children in the UK.

This year we are managing the Shane Williams Rugby Academy in Wales. in 2008 Shane was voted World Player of the Year, and he’ll be visiting ever one of his 8 academies to pass on tips to youngsters. Key features to Shane’s academy are speed, agility and quickness sessions and there’s also the opportunity to win a day with Shane at the Ospreys training ground.

We have some fantastic instructors working on all of our courses and their tireless efforts and boundless enthusiasm help to make each week on an Activate Sport camp one to remember.

We look forward to welcoming both parents and children to all of our camps in 2010.
