Activate S.I.P.S. (5yrs)
S.I.P.S. (Social Interaction Participation Skills). is a specially designed programme that introduces younger children to sport in a fun and relaxed, learning environment.
Based upon the principle that 'children learn by having fun', S.I.P.S. adopts a holistic approach that covers basic sport concepts and problem solving.
Exciting and innovative games and activities are used to capture the imagination and encourage creativity, movement and decision-making.
Activate Energise
Each morning Activate Juniors will take part in an ‘energiser session’ to wake up the body and mind in preparation for the day ahead. A fun filled aerobic programme including dancing, skipping and hula hooping finished off with an innovative introduction to stretching leaving the children revitalised and refreshed.
Activate Juniors (6-7yrs)
Activate Juniors follow a Multi-Sport & Activity programme that includes wide games, parachute activities, football, arts & crafts, dodge ball, treasure hunts, kite making, face painting, discos, clay modelling and many more...
Dance & Drama
There is also an option to attend dance and drama sessions through the Activate Stage Academy when it visits the camp. Sessions are run especially for Activate Juniors by our professionally trained actors and dancers.
Our coach to group ratio is 1 to 8 for all junior age groups.
Activate Juniors multi-sport & activity descriptions
Wide games played in large spacious areas with 2 teams. Games include Shrek, DR-DR and foxes and hounds. The games promote teamwork and creativity, allowing children to learn new skills and have lots of fun in the process.
Dodgeball is a popular and traditional American team game using latex or rubber covered sponge balls. Players from one team have to hit opponents as they run so as to eliminate him / her from the game. The 2004 comedy film "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" has coincided with a new growth for this sport in recent years.
Arts & crafts∗ sessions give the campers a chance to make a range of different items from clay modelling or puppet making or just decorating the graffiti wall. Mask making and pom-pom pets are other highlights of this programme.
∗On some camps Arts & Crafts will be replaced by Dance & Drama.
Parachute Activities are a variety of games using a giant parachute canopy that encourage cooperative, non-competitive play and reinforce turn-taking and sharing.
