Activate Sport leader awards are ideal for anyone who has an interest in sport or activity instruction. With 'Sports leaders UK' we offer participants an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while learning essential life skills such as organisation, motivation, communication and working with others. Candidates don't need to be exceptional athletes, just a willingness to help and a positive attitude. The programme is challenging but ultimately rewarding and will help develop the skills and self confidence required to become a sport or activity instructor
Activate Sport offer children the opportunity to gain a 'Sports Leaders UK' nationally recognised qualification. The course introduces the participants to basic coaching and activity instructing throughout a week long programme. This culminates with them delivering sports or activity sessions to campers under the supervision of an Activate Sport instructor.
Participants on the Activate Leaders programme work as assistants to the qualified instructors helping deliver sessions. Each leader is given the opportunity to gain the 'Day Certificate in Sports Coaching' a 'Sports Leaders UK' award that is nationally recognised. As well as issuing each participant with a reference, which can be used with University applications, Activate Sport will provide each leader with staff uniform.
